As has become a sort of late-spring/early-summer tradition, this past weekend we had our best friend from college up to hang out. On Saturday, another sort-of tradition, we headed up to Burlington, Vermont for a day of fun and shopping.
Our first stop, and in some ways our main objective, was the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and it was quite a bit of fun (okay, technically this is in Shelburne but they are right outside Burlington).

We all had something we needed there: My partner, Lilli, was on a quest for a Mother/Daughter set for Mothers Day, Sloane needed an outfit for her bear (she left with two), and I… Well, being born in Vermont, and a Vermont resident most of my life, I just needed a bear. I’ve been to the factory twice before and never got one; today I was going to fix that, and so I brought this little one home:

Of course, we couldn’t leave without taking at least one obligatory tourist photo….

Once we were done there, we actually made our way into Burlington. We stopped at Koto’s for lunch and hit up the Barnes and Noble and University Mall to continue our day of shopping. Three defeated wallets later we ended our outing by visiting the Magic Hat Brewery on the way back where Sloane and I enjoyed a flight of four each, and I finally replaced my bottle opener.
